About Us

Hammersmith and Fulham Advice Station started out as a project funded by the Big Lottery Fund. We set out as five partners  - H&F Law Centre (lead partner), Action on Disability, H&F CAB, H&F Mind and Tendis - to create a single point of contact for advice in our borough.

The Advice Station website is the website of the Hammersmith and Fulham Advice Forum: it provides advice to our community and resources for advice workers.

Although the project ended in August 2015 much of the work continues and is delivered by Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre with funding support from LBHF.

We co-ordinate and facilitate the Hammersmith and Fulham Advice Forum - an alliance of advice and information providers delivering services within the borough. We meet six times a year and have regular training events and had our first conference on 21 January 2016.

If you are an advice and/or information provider delivering services in Hammersmith and/or Fulham you are very welcome to join the Advice Forum. We would also like to include your details in our directory of all organisations that provide advice and information services in our borough. We aim to respond to all emails within a day or so.

Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre

Hammersmith and Fulham Law Centre was established in 1979 and has worked on the front line of advice needs for 38 years. We are rooted in our community, have an in-depth understanding of local needs and issues and prioritise helping those who are most vulnerable and disadvantaged. We are well connected to other advice agencies and community groups and provide second tier advice to other agencies.

HF Law Centre has legal aid contracts in housing, immigration and asylum and provides free legal advice and representation to those who are eligible under the scheme.

We give free legal advice and support on a range of housing issues to people in Hammersmith & Fulham.

We also run the duty possession desk on Mondays at the County Court in Wandsworth and on Fridays at the court in Brentford.
